A sheet of decals from the manufacturer Kits-World in 1:72 scale is intended for models of the Republic P-47D Thunderbolt fighter. It is not a kit but an accessory: you use the decals on the model you are building, whether instead of the box sheet or as an extension of it. Which machines the sheet covers is shown by the illustration on the packaging; because variant D existed both in the form with a spine behind the cockpit and with a bubble canopy, compare the illustration with your model before building.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was an American single-engine fighter, one of the most robust machines of its day. It was powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine with a turbocharger placed in the rear part of the fuselage, which gave the aircraft its characteristically bulky shapes. Version D was the most numerous and was built both with the original fuselage spine and later with a bubble canopy and a lowered spine. Besides fighter duties the type was widely used for attacks on ground targets.
The Thunderbolt has an exceptionally bulky and round fuselage, so larger decals have to bend in two directions at once on it. Do not hurry: seat the decal, blot off the excess water and then press the film down gradually with a dampened cotton swab from the center toward the edges. Where the film resists, a drop of decal softener and a moment of patience help; the decal must not be moved at that point. Waviness that appears once dry usually disappears after a further application of decal softener.
