A set of accurately shaped self-adhesive painting masks for a model of the A-222 130 mm coastal artillery system in 1:72 scale. The masks are cut from thin washi (kabuki) tape, which follows the shapes of the parts well and leaves no adhesive residue once lifted. They serve for quick, clean masking of the cab glazing and of further areas while spraying.
You lift the mask off the sheet, seat it exactly on the part and press the edges down. You then apply the paint with an airbrush or a brush with no risk of it running over. Once it has dried you take the mask off carefully and get sharp, clean color transitions that are hard to reach by unmasking by hand.
The A-222, Bereg in the Russian designation, is a Russian 130 mm coastal defense artillery system mounted on a self-propelled wheeled chassis. It serves to destroy surface targets and to defend the coast. It combines the mobility of a truck chassis with the power of a naval gun.
