About product

Flyhawk Wooden Deck Lines Paint Mask 0.5 mm

A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks for spraying the wooden deck of a ship model. The line width of 0.5 mm corresponds to a fine spacing of the planks; after spraying, thin darker seams remain on the deck between the individual boards. The sheet measures approximately 95 x 120 mm.

Use

  • First spray the deck with the base shade of the wood and let it dry thoroughly.
  • Transfer the mask onto the deck without stretching it, press it down and burnish the recesses with a pointed wooden stick.
  • Spray over it with the darker shade of the seams and then carefully lift the mask off.
  • Suitable for an airbrush as well as for a fine brush.

Who it is for

For ship modelers who want a realistic wooden deck without the labor of drawing the lines by hand.

This is a masking aid, not a paint and not a model. Paints are not included in the package.

FAQ

Neither. It is a set of masking films for spraying a wooden deck; paints and the model are not included.

It sets the width of the seam between the planks. A finer line corresponds to a smaller spacing of the planks on the deck.

Lay it on without stretching it, press it down, burnish the recesses with a wooden stick and spray over it with the darker shade of the seams.
