A plastic kit of the Soviet 45 mm anti-tank gun with its crew in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. The package contains the gun and two crew figures. The set is designed as a snap-fit assembly in which the parts click together, so it can be built even without glue. It suits extending dioramas and wargaming forces alike.
At the start of the Great Patriotic War the Soviet 45 mm anti-tank gun was one of the standard anti-tank guns of the Red Army. It was a relatively light and mobile weapon with a long barrel, used on most fronts. A gun of this caliber was effective against the armored vehicles of the early part of the war.
The parts click together, but the joints can still be glued for strength. Paint the gun and the figures separately, and finish the crew with uniform and skin tones. Apply the basic green shade with an airbrush or a brush and bring out the detail with washes. The set looks best set into a diorama with groundwork.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
