An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the Mk.Vc version in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov. The package contains clear canopy parts and a decal sheet with several marking options for Allied aircraft. The model is meant to be assembled and painted.
The Spitfire Mk.V was one of the most widespread versions of this iconic fighter of the Second World War, powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin 45. The Mk.Vc variant had the universal C wing, which allowed various combinations of armament, including four cannon. Spitfire Mk.Vc fighters served not only with the Royal Air Force but also with other Allied air forces on many fronts, from Malta to the Mediterranean and the Pacific.
Use thin plastic cement and lay down a primer filler before painting. The camouflage is best sprayed with an airbrush with soft transitions; a gloss coat under the decals is recommended so that the sheets adhere well and no silvered edges form. Paint and fit the cockpit interior before gluing the fuselage halves together.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
