It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers that replaces the plastic exhausts with a crisp casting with suggested hollows.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk XIV was a potent fighter version of the legendary aircraft, powered by the massive Rolls-Royce Griffon engine and fitted with a five-blade propeller. The Griffon brought a marked rise in power and revised exhaust pipes; this set matches the configuration with round exhaust stubs.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove any mold release residue from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp saw or a knife and sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), not with ordinary plastic cement. Try the fit dry before painting; resin may need a little cleaning up.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
