Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker MAC Distribution represents the German Steyr 1500 off-road vehicle in the configuration of the Kfz.17 signals (radio) car with an enclosed box body. It is a short-run molding, with which it is worth reckoning on more careful cleaning up of the parts and the mold seams. The exact package contents, any photo-etched parts and the number of marking options depend on the particular release.
The Steyr 1500 was an Austrian light off-road car with all-wheel drive, produced during the Second World War and widely fielded by the Wehrmacht. In the Kfz.17 version it served as a signals and radio car: the enclosed box body carried radio sets and the operators' positions, so the vehicle formed a mobile communications node for staffs and units.
Assemble and clean up the running gear, the wheels and the interior of the box body before you close the body, as it is hard to reach inside later. Short-run plastic benefits from sanding the seams. Apply a primer and then the main shade, usually gray Panzergrau or dark yellow Dunkelgelb. Draw the detail out with a wash in the recesses and a dry brush on the edges, and finish the wheels and the wheel arches with dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
