Injection-molded plastic kit of the Su-24M tactical bomber in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Zvezda. The model has movable variable-geometry wings that can be swept after assembly, separate elevators and a rich load of external stores - drop tanks, guided and unguided bombs, air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles and pods. The canopy can be built closed or open and the in-flight refueling probe can be shown extended or retracted.
The Su-24 is a two-seat tactical bomber with a variable-geometry wing that entered service in the 1970s. The Su-24M version added more advanced navigation and targeting systems for precise strikes in any weather, by day and by night. The crew consists of a pilot and a navigator-operator seated side by side. The aircraft became one of the main strike aircraft of the Soviet and later the Russian Air Force.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, and dry-fit the fuselage and air intake joints first. Prime the model before painting to reveal any imperfections. Camouflage schemes spray best with an airbrush; a dark wash will pick out the engraved panels. It pays to finish painting the movable wings before final assembly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
