This resin set holds precisely cast flaperons for models of the Su-27 Flanker B fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory replacing the plastic control surfaces of a kit. Flaperons combine the function of flaps and ailerons, and rendering them faithfully markedly brings the trailing edge of the wing to life.
The Su-27 Flanker is a Soviet, later Russian twin-engine fighter intended for air superiority. It stands out for its large wing area, its blended wing-body shape and its long range. The flaperons on the trailing edge of the wing take part in roll control and in raising lift.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and clean up the mating faces. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand resin with respiratory protection and use a primer before painting. The control surfaces can also be fitted in a slightly deflected position for a livelier look.
This is an accessory for a model, not a stand-alone kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
