An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet SU-85 tank destroyer in 1:72 scale from S-Model. The package holds two models, plastic sprues, photo-etched parts, decals and assembly instructions. The set is laid out for an easy and quick build.
The SU-85 was a Soviet tank destroyer of the Second World War built on the chassis of the T-34 medium tank. In a fixed superstructure it carried a gun of 85 mm caliber, which gave it effectiveness against German medium and heavy tanks. It entered service in 1943 and gave the armored units mobile anti-tank fire.
Use liquid cement on the plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Although the build is simple, cut the small parts off carefully and finish the running gear before you close the hull. We recommend a primer, a green finish with an airbrush and weathering with washes and dust pigments on the lower areas and the tracks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
