This is a decal set in 1:72 scale from the brand Model Maker, aimed at the technical and maintenance legends of the Sukhoi Su-22 in Polish form. It is not a kit or a resin part but a sheet of decals with which you complete a model that is already built and painted.
Stencils are the small service, warning and information legends, the marks for filler necks, access panels and rescue points, which are scattered over the whole airframe of a real aircraft. It is exactly they that turn a smoothly sprayed model into a convincing machine, because without them the surface looks empty. In 1:72 scale these legends are very fine, so it pays to work with tweezers and a magnifier and not to hurry.
The surface has to be glossy. On matte paint a decal goes white and the edges of the carrier film show through. So overcoat the area with a gloss varnish first and let it cure properly. Then soak the decal in clean water, slide it off the paper onto a dampened spot and adjust the position with a soft brush. Next use a softener, which settles the decal into the engraved lines and over the rivets. Once dry, wash the adhesive residues off and even the whole model out with a matte or semi-matte overcoat.
The package holds decals. The kit, the paints, the varnish and the softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
