The real subject

The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I was one of the key fighters of the Royal Air Force at the beginning of the Second World War. The elliptical wing, the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and eight machine guns made it a feared opponent. In the summer of 1940 the Spitfire, together with the Hurricane, played the decisive part in the defense of British airspace.

Use

• Apply them over a smooth gloss varnish, which prevents silvering under the decal.
• Dip the decal in lukewarm water and slide it onto the model once it has released.
• Use softener so that it clings into the engraved lines and onto curved surfaces.
• Seal it with matte or satin clear varnish.
