An injection-molded plastic model of the Swedish Strv 103C main battle tank in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted. For the exact package contents, follow the enclosed instructions and the markings on the box.
The Strv 103, nicknamed the S-tank, was an unusual Swedish tank without a rotating turret. Its 105 mm gun was fixed in the hull and was aimed by turning and tilting the whole hull by means of the suspension and a special springing. The low, wedge-like silhouette made it harder to hit and the strongly sloped front improved its protection. The 103C version represents the final production upgrade with a more powerful engine, add-on side skirts and a laser rangefinder. S-tanks formed the backbone of the Swedish armored forces from the 1970s to the 1990s.
With armored vehicles, first finish the running gear and the tracks and only then close the hull. Spray the base over a primer and lay the colors on with an airbrush. The characteristic Swedish camouflage will be brought out by washes into the corners and pigments for dust and mud effects on the lower hull and the tracks; dry brushing will reveal rubbed metal on the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
