About product

Quickboost drag chute housing for the TA-7C Corsair II (1:72)

A resin detail accessory of the Quickboost brand, made by Aires, in 1:72 scale. This is not an aircraft model but the housing for the drag chute for the two-seat TA-7C Corsair II version. The fine casting refines the detail of the rear fuselage.

The real subject

The LTV A-7 Corsair II was an American single-engine subsonic attack aircraft. The two-seat TA-7C training version served to train crews. At the rear of the fuselage it had a housing for the drag chute, which shortened the run after landing.

Building and painting tips

Wash the mold release residue off the part, carefully separate the casting block and bond it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Check the fit against the rear fuselage before gluing.

Who it is for

  • For modelers building the TA-7C Corsair II in 1:72 scale.
  • For anyone interested in a more faithful drag chute housing.
  • The aircraft kit itself is not included in the package.

The accessory is supplied as a resin part. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
