This is a short-run resin, 3D printed kit meant for experienced modelers, not classic injection molded plastic. The set in 1:72 scale from the maker Planet Models captures a Japanese research project for a piloted rocket machine from the end of the Second World War. The package holds parts for two variants (project 1 and 2) and dedicated transport trolleys. The glazing is usually handled as a vacuum-formed part. The exact contents and the number of parts follow the instructions in the box.
The Japanese project under the name Tai-atari Yuyoku Funshindan belonged among the designs for piloted rocket missiles from the end of the war that were to destroy high-flying heavy bombers. They were paper projects that never got into operational use; they do, however, represent an interesting chapter in the history of aviation and of experimental technology.
First wash the resin 3D printed parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that any residues of uncured print resin disappear. Cut off the print supports with a sharp scalpel or a fine saw; do not snap them off. Sand the surfaces wet and always with protection of the airways. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate); plastic cement does not hold on resin. Apply a primer before the paint, otherwise the shade will hold badly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
