A set of tarpaulins, shelter halves and rolled bedding in 1:72 scale. Small stowage that turns a bare vehicle into a machine that has driven somewhere and stood somewhere.
Responsibility details are not available.
Tarpaulins, shelter halves and rolled bedding belong to the stowage that military vehicles carried throughout their service. The crew had them at hand as protection from rain, as shade for a post and as a bed, and so they ended up strapped to the fenders, over the side of the bed, on the turret or at the rear. It is exactly such small things that tell a model built out of the box apart from a machine that looks lived-in.
The set concentrates on this small stowage in 1:72 scale: folded and rolled canvas together with rolled bedding. The number two in the name tells this set apart from the other parts of the same series, so they can be combined and the same piece does not repeat on two vehicles standing side by side.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand the rest so that the folds stay readable. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts, and choose the glue according to the material of the parts; the particular procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions. Canvas is rewarding to paint: a base shade, a dark wash into the folds and a lighter dry brush along the edges draw the soft shape out in a moment. In 1:72 scale less is more, so two or three pieces on a vehicle look better than a continuous heap.
For modelers who build vehicles and dioramas in 1:72 scale and want to complete a model with stowage. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
