This plastic kit by the Polish maker Hobby 2000 represents the four-engine heavy bomber that served in the British RAF under the designation Washington B.1. The package contains injected plastic parts and new decals for the British machines. The model brings to life one of the less usual chapters in the history of this aircraft in European service.
The Boeing B-29 Superfortress was an American four-engine heavy bomber with a pressurized cabin, one of the most modern aircraft of its day. After the Second World War a number of machines were lent to the British RAF, where they served under the name Washington B.1 and temporarily filled a gap in the equipment of British bomber aviation.
Paint the interior and fit the glazing before closing the fuselage. Use liquid cement on the joints and protect the extensive glazing with masks. Apply the metallic finishes with an airbrush over a smooth surface and overspray the silver lacquers carefully at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
