The set contains 3D-printed resin main landing gear doors for a model of the Soviet Yak-1 fighter in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory which replaces the thicker and less well shaped plastic doors with thin, accurately drawn parts.
Landing gear doors from 3D printing have a realistic thickness and a fine relief on the inner side, which on a model with the landing gear extended raises the fidelity markedly. In a small scale it is exactly the slenderness of these parts that is the difference between a toy and a scale model.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
