An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese Yokosuka D4Y2 Suisei carrier-based dive bomber, which the Allies designated Judy, in 1:72 scale from the AZ model brand. The box contains plastic parts and decal markings for several color options of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service.
The D4Y Suisei was an elegant single-engine carrier bomber with a slim fuselage and good flying performance. The D4Y2 version received a more powerful inverted V12 engine and improved on the performance of the early machines. Flown from carrier decks and from land bases alike, the Suisei was among the important types of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service in the later phase of the war.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and sand the parting lines down. Masks for the long cockpit glazing, a primer and an airbrush are recommended for smooth transitions between the Japanese naval shades. Apply the decals over a gloss base and finish the model with a matte varnish and light weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
