Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese Type 90 main battle tank in 1:76 scale from Fujimi. The 1:76 scale is smaller than the widespread 1:72 and markedly smaller than 1:35, so the finished model is compact and does not take up much room in a display case. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Type 90 is the main battle tank of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, taken into service in the 1990s. It belongs to the generation of machines with a large-caliber smoothbore gun, composite armor and a modern fire control system. A characteristic feature is the autoloader, which reduces the number of crew members. The tank was designed above all for the defense of the northern island of Hokkaido, where the terrain and the possibilities for movement match the use of heavy tracked vehicles; in other parts of Japanese territory its use is more limited because of its weight and dimensions.
In a small scale clean work decides: parting lines and remains of sprue nubs are proportionally more conspicuous on small parts than on a large model, so sand them carefully. Finish and paint the running gear before you close the hull up and fit the add-on armor. Spray with thinned paint in thin coats; a heavy coat would flood the fine engraved detail in this scale. The weathering should be restrained - on a model of this size a light wash into the recesses and fine drybrushing of the edges is enough. Keep the dust and mud effects low down, so that they do not hide the shape.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
