A metal front subframe for a model of the Team Lotus 72E (1973) racing single-seater from Ebbro, an accurate replacement chassis part.
Responsibility details are not available.
The accessory is an accurately machined metal front subframe intended as a replacement for the plastic part on a model of the Team Lotus 72E racing single-seater of 1973. It is not a car kit but a metal detail part which raises both the strength and the fidelity of the front part of the chassis. Metal takes the load of the wheel suspension better and looks more realistic than plastic.
The Lotus 72E was a successful Formula 1 car of the Lotus team of the early 1970s, associated with its distinctive wedge-shaped body and side radiators. The front subframe forms the load-bearing structure of the car's front axle.
Degrease the metal parts before gluing and roughen the mating surfaces. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with epoxy; for painting use a primer suitable for metal. Take care over the exact seating in relation to the wheel suspension.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
