A collector's figure in the 75 mm size from the PANZER ART marque. It captures a German tank officer and the name places it in the fighting at Kursk in 1943. The package holds castings that the modeler cleans up, assembles and paints himself. This is not a finished painted decoration or a part of a larger kit.
The 75 mm format stands between the classic figures for hardware and large busts. The face, the hands and the folds of the clothing are noticeably larger than in small scales, so shades of skin, stitching and the individual pieces of equipment can be drawn out. The reward is a figure that stands on its own in a display case, without a surrounding scene.
First wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that no trace of the mold release agent is left on the surface. Cut the sprue gates off with a saw, level the parting seams with fine sandpaper and glue the joints with cyanoacrylate glue. A unifying primer from a spray will reveal the remaining unevenness before the paint covers it. Modelers then layer the skin and the fabric with oil paints or with acrylics applied wet.
The castings arrive unpainted and without a base, so the resulting form stays purely up to you.
