A precisely turned metal barrel in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer RB model. It replaces the plastic barrel from the kit and offers a perfectly cylindrical shape, a sharp muzzle and fine detail without mold seams. It corresponds to the long German 8.8 cm KwK 44 L/71 tank gun, counted on for the projected standard tank of the E-50 series.
The 8.8 cm KwK 44 L/71 was a powerful German long-barreled gun of 88 mm caliber following on from the proven long eighty-eight. It was considered as the armament of the German project for a standardized tank, the E-50, from the end of the war. The vehicle remained at the design stage and was not built, which is why it appears in modeling as a subject of prototype and hypothetical (paper panzer) hardware.
Degrease the metal barrel and glue it with cyanoacrylate. Apply a primer for metal before painting. Accentuate the muzzle and the muzzle brake with a dark wash and a fine patina.
This is a detail accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
