This sizeable injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale captures the American heavy dump truck Freightliner. The model offers a richly detailed chassis, an opening front hood with an engine and a working tipping body. The box holds plastic parts, rubber tires, decals and instructions. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Freightliner is an American truck maker based in Portland, part of the Daimler group, known for building tractors and trucks for both long-haul and heavy construction transport. At the turn of the 1980s, demand grew for vehicles for quarries and construction, which led to reinforced chassis, axles with higher load capacity and rugged tipping bodies.
It is a larger build with a high level of difficulty, recommended to more experienced modelers. Finish the engine and the chassis before you close the hood. Use liquid cement for plastic, spray the surface with a primer and an airbrush. Handle the chrome and clear parts separately, and a final patina will bring out the working character of the vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
