Injection-molded plastic kit of the three-axle prestige car Mercedes-Benz Type G4 in the form with the roof folded down, in 1:24 scale from ICM. The box contains parts in gray plastic, a clear sprue for the glazing and a decal sheet. The model is built up from individual parts; the kit is meant to be glued and painted.
The Mercedes-Benz Type G4 (internally designated W31) was a luxury off-road and prestige car built from the middle of the 1930s. It was marked out by a three-axle chassis with drive on the two rear axles, a massive body for six or seven people and a powerful inline eight-cylinder engine. Because of its high price it was not used as an ordinary army vehicle but served the highest state and military figures at parades and inspections. The open version reveals the spacious interior and is a rewarding subject for collectors of historic vehicles.
Join the parts in hard plastic with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Before the color coats we recommend treating the surface with a primer; the body and the fenders are then best sprayed with an airbrush for an even gloss. Glue the chrome and clear parts at the very end with cyanoacrylate or with glue for clear parts, so that nothing fogs. The decals will settle more easily on a gloss clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
