Trailer closing – type 2 (1:24) is an Aber photo-etched detail set for a faithful rendering of the closing and tensioning mechanisms of a curtainsider trailer on a model of a truck-and-trailer rig.

This is a set of fine photo-etched metal parts from the Polish maker Aber in 1:24 scale. It is not a model but an accessory for raising the detail — an imitation of the closures, clasps and tensioning mechanisms of the curtain side of a semitrailer or a trailer. The parts replace the coarse plastic details of the base kit with thin, accurately etched metal.
The closing and tensioning items of the curtain are small on real trailers and prominent all the same. In 1:24 scale it is exactly that fineness that is the key to a realistic impression. The set brings several variants of the type 2 closures, which the modeler fits onto the sides and the rear of the trailer.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife or with photo-etch scissors on a hard surface. Make the bends along the etched score lines with a bending tool or between two rulers. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting and use a primer for metal.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
