An injection-molded plastic kit of an American coupe in 1:25 scale in the Model Set edition. The box holds the kit, a set of modeling paints of the Aqua Color line, a brush and cement for polystyrene. The manufacturer gives 129 parts, dimensions of the finished model of 19.2 x 7.5 x 5.3 cm and an age from twelve years. The box states a well broken-up V8, a movable hood, chrome-plated parts and decals with registration plates.
The Boss 351 was the performance version of the Mustang that Ford offered for the single model year of 1971. The body of that period was the longest and widest the Mustang had had until then, with a very flat rear window on the fastback version. Under the hood sat a V8 with a displacement of 351 cubic inches in its stronger form. The single year of production and the end of the era of big displacements made the Boss 351 a car that collectors seek out.
The large flat surfaces of this body forgive nothing: sand the mold seams right down and even the surfaces out with a filler primer before you start painting. Apply the paint in several thin layers. The well broken-up V8 and the engine bay come out well with a combination of metallic shades, a dark wash and drybrushing. Cement the chrome bumpers with a minimum of cement, because the plating is damaged at once. Divide off the matte areas of the hood with masking tape.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The set holds paints, a brush and cement; other accessories are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
