The kit carries the license of the Stranger Things series as the vehicle of sheriff Jim Hopper. For this set the manufacturer gives 84 parts; the exact count is stated on the box and in the instructions inside the kit.
The Chevrolet K5 Blazer is a short off-road vehicle built on the chassis of a utility pickup truck. The second generation was produced from the 1970s, and you will know the version from the middle of the 1980s by its angular front end with rectangular headlights. All-wheel drive, a high ground clearance and a removable rear roof section made it a favorite vehicle of American agencies and of rural users – exactly the role in which the series uses it.
On a service vehicle the main work is in the decals and in the weathering. Lay the door markings on a gloss base and help yourself with a decal softener, so that the film settles into the pressings of the sheet metal. The angular body has long flat surfaces, so sand the mold seams down and apply the paint in several thin layers. Dust and mud shades applied with a dry brush will bring the chassis, the tires and the lower part of the fenders to life; finish the interior before you close the body up.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The set holds paints, a brush and cement; other accessories are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
