A photo-etched accessory set in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Voyager Model for refining a model of the Israeli quarter-ton 4x4 off-road car in the M38A1 or CJ-5 version with the TOW anti-tank guided missile system. The manufacturer listed the set for the AFV AF35S97 kit. It is not a vehicle kit but a set of thin metal parts that replace plastic shapes: the radiator grille, brackets, hinges and sheet-metal strips. Check the scope of the set on the box.
The Israeli army used light quarter-ton off-road cars derived from the American M38A1 and from the civilian CJ-5 type as fast reconnaissance and anti-tank assets. Some of them received a launcher for TOW anti-tank guided missiles, which turned a small and mobile vehicle into a weapon able to hit an armored target several kilometers away. The vehicle had practically no armor, so its tactics rested on mobility and on firing from cover. A model of this type has plenty of open surfaces where photo-etched parts tell most.
