A detailed resin set from SBS Model intended to improve the plastic kit of the Convair B-58 Hustler supersonic bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an extensive set of the bombardier's and navigator's compartments complemented by photo-etched parts and clear resin windows. The set is intended for experienced modelers.
It replaces or supplements the rear crew compartments with a finely worked interior including ejection seats and instrument panels. The B-58 had its crew in three separate compartments one behind the other; this set covers the bombardier's and navigator's space. The pilot's cockpit is not part of it.
Wash the parts free of any mold release agent, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and dry-fit them; seating them may call for modifying the fuselage according to the instructions. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and bend the photo-etch dry. Sand with respiratory protection and paint the interior before closing the fuselage.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a set of resin and photo-etch. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
