This is a detail accessory, not a kit. The set contains a turned metal barrel of the Soviet 100 mm D-10T tank gun, with which you replace the plastic gun barrel on a model of the T-55 tank in 1:48 scale.
A turned barrel has a perfectly straight, round section and an accurately rendered muzzle and fume extractor. It does away with cleaning up the parting seam that a two-part plastic barrel has, and the result is both more faithful and more robust.
Clean the barrel and seat it in the turret; it is bonded with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a base color so that the shade holds well.
The accessory serves to modify a plastic model; the model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
