A set of 4 barrel tips for the German 13 mm MG 131 aircraft machine gun (1:48) from Aber. A turned metal accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This product is not an aircraft model but a metal detail accessory. The package contains four turned barrel tips (muzzles) for the German 13 mm MG 131 aircraft machine gun. They fit onto the plastic barrel stubs and so replace the inaccurate, solid plastic muzzle with faithfully drilled metal.
The MG 131 was the standard German heavy aircraft machine gun of 13 mm caliber from the second half of the war. It was mounted in the fuselage and the wings of a number of fighters and bombers, and its short muzzles are clearly visible on models.
Shorten the plastic barrel at the muzzle, drill a hole and glue the turned tip in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Hold the small metal parts with tweezers and degrease the surface before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
