This injection-molded plastic kit captures the eight-wheeled Sd.Kfz.232 heavy armored reconnaissance car of the Second World War period. The package contains injection-molded parts, decals and instructions. The model is conceived as a straightforward, fairly easy build suited to less experienced modelers as well.
The Sd.Kfz.232 (8-Rad) was a radio car derived from the heavy eight-wheeled armored car. It was notable for the conspicuous frame antenna above the hull and for powerful radio equipment for long-range communication. Thanks to all-wheel drive, front and rear driving positions and decent speed it served mainly for deep reconnaissance on the Eastern as well as the Western Front, where it passed the information gathered to higher commands.
Finish and paint the running gear and the wheels before assembling the hull. Clean the flash off the frame antenna with particular care. The basis is a suitable German gray or dark yellow, and the weathering is refined with a dark wash in the recesses and dust pigments on the chassis and the fenders.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
