ABS plastic L-profile, 3 mm leg, length 250 mm

Profiles with an L-shaped section in ABS plastic, with legs 3 mm long and an overall length of 250 mm. Angle stock is an invaluable joining element in modeling: glued into an inside corner it holds two walls at an exact right angle and reinforces the joint at the same time, so the structure will not give way even once the glue has dried.

How to work with the material

ABS cuts and sands well. Shorten the profile with a fine-toothed saw and true the cut up; on angle stock a square cut matters more than elsewhere, because every deviation shows twice over in the corner. It is bonded with super glue or with an adhesive intended for ABS; with ordinary polystyrene cement do not count on the same effect. When reinforcing a corner, glue the angle in from the inside and press the walls together until the glue has grabbed. Degrease the surface and apply primer before painting.
