A Mr.Paint modeling paint in the Soviet aircraft shade AMT-1, that is, in a light brown tone. It is supplied ready for spraying with an airbrush.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation AMT-1 belongs to the family of Soviet flat aircraft finishes of the Second World War. The light brown tone was used in the camouflage of the upper surfaces of aircraft, where the machine was meant to blend into the background both on the ground and in flight over the landscape. Soviet camouflage was built on a handful of shades that were combined into irregular fields, so the individual colors of this family usually work together on a model in twos or threes. The light brown is the one that warms the whole scheme up and breaks the otherwise dominant green.
Mr.Paint is a lacquer-type paint intended for the airbrush. It comes ready at spraying consistency, so it usually needs no further thinning. It dries quickly and leaves a very thin film that does not fill in riveting or panel lines. This range is not suited to brush application, as the fast drying shows in the strokes.
Stir the bottle properly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Wash and degrease the surface of the model. Spray in several light coats and let them become tacky between passes. On camouflage fields it works well to spray freehand or over a raised mask, so that the transition matches the soft edge of the spray on the real aircraft. Tune the pressure and any further thinning to your own airbrush and to the manufacturer's instructions. Clean the airbrush with lacquer thinner right after you finish spraying.
One bottle of paint is supplied. Thinner, primer, final varnish and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
