This is a modeling acrylic paint from the AIR line of the brand AK Interactive, supplied in a bottle with a volume of 17 ml. AMT-12 is a dark gray shade from the Soviet period system of matte camouflage finishes. It forms the darker half of the two-color scheme of the upper surfaces of Soviet fighters from the later part of the Second World War — paired with the lighter blue-gray it gives a model the typical gray look by which Soviet machines of that time differ markedly from the earlier green and brown camouflage.
The paint is thinnable with water, odorless, densely pigmented and formulated for a brush as well as an airbrush. With dark shades on upper surfaces it pays to allow for the scale effect: in a small scale the paint looks darker than on the real aircraft, so for a model it can be lightened by a few percent. Weathered, sun-faded areas can then be brought out by lightening the centers of the panels.
For modelers of Soviet aircraft who build to period shades, and for anyone who needs a reliable dark gray in acrylic. Within the line it mixes well, so your own shades for weathered or oversprayed areas can easily be derived from it.
A water-based acrylic paint. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use and close it carefully after work. Clean the airbrush and brushes straight after finishing, while the paint has not yet dried. When spraying, work in a ventilated room and do not breathe in the aerosol. Keep out of the reach of children and away from food.
