The AT-SV Omnidirectional Spherical Vise from the manufacturer DSPIAE is a ball vise - it holds a part firmly and at the same time lets you turn it to practically any angle and lock it there. It is not a kit, it is a workshop tool.
Responsibility details are not available.
A ball vise is a vise seated in a ball joint. The jaws grip the part, and the ball head is then turned to the angle you need and locked. The body is made of steel and weighs over 1.6 kg - it is precisely that weight that keeps the vise in place on the table, so it does not have to be clamped down. The jaws open up to 87 mm and the head can be tilted up to 135 degrees in every direction; the upper hemisphere can also be rotated freely, so you can look the part over from every side. It is not an accessory for a model - it is a tool you use on every build.
The jaws have triangular grooves and transverse slots, so they will safely hold cylindrical and irregular parts as well - fuselages, gun barrels, tanks, statuettes, individual components. The steel pins in the jaws can be repositioned or removed as needed. The jaw opening and the head angle are locked with screws, and a hex key is included in the package. A tip: pad already painted or delicate parts with a piece of soft material before gripping them (felt, foam rubber, tape over the jaw) - the steel jaws are hard and paint is soft.
For modelers who paint with a brush and an airbrush, drill, sand, polish and glue. DSPIAE is a Chinese maker of modeling tools known for precisely machined, robust instruments.
A workshop tool, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
