0.6 mm, a star-shaped torx recess, a cylindrical head standing out above the surface of the part.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second step from the bottom is among the hardest worked on models of road machines. Worked out to 1:12, it gives a head of 7.2 mm of real width, that is an M5 thread. It is exactly with these that the parts of the fairing, the radiator covers, the fenders and the sensor holders are screwed on a motorcycle, and there tend to be dozens of them on one machine.
Unlike the cone version, this head stands out above the surface and casts a shadow of its own. You gain the relief that a sunken shape does not have in principle, but you pay for it in that the element must not be oversized. A raised head shows twice in the silhouette of a part, once by its area and a second time by its height above the surface.
It is exactly with this size that it pays to count ahead. A faired machine in the matching scale will use on the order of twenty to forty pieces, so when building a whole model it is the fastest-dwindling step of the whole scale. The difference from the neighboring sizes is considerable in this respect.
Because the head is not meant to seat into a countersink, a perpendicular hole of the matching diameter is enough. More important than the depth here is squareness: a tilted raised head is visible on a finished part far sooner than a tilted sunken one.
On a fairing, how far the individual joints lie from one another decides the credibility as well. On the real subject they tend to be spaced regularly along the edge of the part, usually at a distance of about ten times the width of the head. If you keep to that ratio, the surface looks right even if the diameter you choose is a tenth off.
