An imitation bolt with a hex head and a flange in the 0.6 mm size. The flange runs under the head as a shallow collar and gives the joint a shape that the shallow relief in a kit never has.
Six tenths of a millimeter is a size that does not shout on a model. That tends to be just what is wanted: the joint should be noticeable but must not overpower the surrounding shapes. A small dimension therefore suits covers, sheet-metal parts, brackets and anywhere a bolder head would look coarse. With the same type of joint it pays to keep to one size across the whole model. The eye values consistency more than a parade of different dimensions, and mismatched heads give away that it was improvised.
For builders of motorcycles, cars and machinery who finish a model in detail, and for repairing places where the original shape was sanded away with the joint. Compare the size of the part directly on the piece before drilling, ideally next to a neighboring joint. The model, paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
