A paint designated as patina in an ocher shade, a 50 ml package. It serves to tone and age surfaces on dioramas and terrain.
Responsibility details are not available.
Patina is a coat that takes the newness off a finished surface. The ocher shade belongs among the earthy tones, so it suits soil, dust, dusty plaster, weathered stone and wood, and also the undersides of vehicles, where deposits from the road collect. It is used mainly on the terrain of dioramas and on buildings, but it also finds use on a model itself when that is meant to look used.
One package of paint with a volume of 50 ml in an ocher shade. The exact composition, the thinner and the thinning ratio are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging, and you should follow them; choose the thinner intended for this range.
Stir the contents thoroughly before use, because earthy shades tend to have a rich sediment. Apply it in thin coats and let each one dry; the tone can always be added to, but not taken away. On large areas of terrain a thinned coat works well, as it flows into the recesses on its own and brings out the variety of the surface; on edges and raised parts, by contrast, an almost dry brush looks good. With absorbent bases such as plaster, stone or wood, expect the paint to lighten only once it has dried, so make a test on an offcut of the same material. Wash the tools straight after work, as dried paint is hard to get out of a brush.
For builders of dioramas, terrain and a model railroad, and for modelers finishing a model to a used condition.
Brushes, thinner and other material are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
