BASIC SKIN TONE — an AMMO of Mig Jimenez acrylic paint

This is a modeling acrylic paint thinnable with water, that is painting equipment rather than a kit or an accessory for a model. The shade belongs to the coded range the maker builds around painting figures and busts: beside flesh tones you will find in it a white for figures, an outlining black and a number of uniform shades. BASIC SKIN TONE is a mid, neutral flesh tone, that is the typical base layer on which highlights and shadows are only then built.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before work, as pigment in acrylic settles to the bottom.
• With a brush it is applied practically straight from the bottle; for an airbrush thin the paint with an acrylic thinner of the same brand or with clean water.
• The most even coverage comes on a matured base in two or three thin coats instead of one heavy one.
• It mixes with other water-thinnable acrylics of the same range; do not mix it with lacquers or enamels and do not thin it with their thinners.
• Clean brushes and the airbrush immediately after finishing work, as dried acrylic can only be removed mechanically.

Who the paint is for

For figure painters in 1:35 scale and smaller and for modelers who need a reliable base flesh tone for the crews of vehicles and aircraft. Given that the same range also has lighter and warmer flesh tones, a whole scale for layering can be assembled from them. The paint suits small areas above all, where precision rather than coverage decides.
