A piece of straight metal profile is among the most useful materials on the bench: it replaces a plastic antenna that will bend sooner or later anyway, and it serves as a pin when joining heavier parts, as a wheel axle, a grab handle, a shaft, a railing post or as an internal stiffener for a long thin part. A diameter of 1.5 mm is on the border between wire and rod, so it holds its shape and can still be formed with pliers.
The rod is made of brass, it is 1.5 mm in diameter and measures 305 mm, that is a little over thirty centimeters. One piece is supplied. Brass cuts, solders and polishes well, and unlike plastic it holds its shape even in a thin section and does not break under load, so it suits places where the part gets handled.
For builders who make their own parts, and for anyone who needs to reinforce a joint between heavy parts. Its use is not tied to one scale or to one field of modeling.
The brass rod alone is supplied. Tools, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
