Camel Brown is a warm light brown from the Quick Gen Color acrylic range of the AK Interactive brand. It is a water-thinnable acrylic for figures and gaming models. The shade of camel hair is one of the most usable browns in a palette: it suits cloak fabric, coarse textiles, wooden handles, animal fur, ropes and dry grass on the base of a figure. At the same time it is a good lightening color for darker brown tones.
The drying time of acrylic is not a constant, as it depends on where you work. The paint dries by the evaporation of water, so in a dry heated room it dries markedly sooner than in a cellar or a garage in rainy weather, where the humidity of the air holds the evaporation back. The difference shows in both directions: in too dry and warm a setting the paint sets before you manage to spread it, while in damp it stays soft for a long time and picks up dust. The second factor is the thickness of the coat. A heavy coat dries quickly on the surface but stays damp inside for many hours, and it is exactly that which lies behind later fingerprints and flaking. Thin coats are therefore not only a matter of appearance but of genuine speed of work.
For players and modelers of figures who need a universal warm light brown for fabrics, wood, fur and bases.
Store closed, dry and away from frost. Work in a ventilated room.
