Proedge blade No. 152 - carving chisel straight (2 pieces)

A pair of replaceable blades in the shape of a straight chisel. Unlike an ordinary cutting blade it has no tip but a flat transverse edge that takes material off in thin layers. It is used with the large modeling handles of the same series, where pressure led along the axis of the tool is reckoned with.

Use

• taking material off in thin layers in balsa and soft wood
• carving out shallow grooves and recesses
• leveling the bottom of carved-out surfaces
• cleaning the surplus of putty and modeling compound on flat surfaces
• working terrain and surfaces when building dioramas

Who it is for

The chisel will be appreciated by modelers who shape terrain, work with balsa or work modeling compound and need to take material off over an area rather than to cut. It is worked with in short strokes away from yourself, with the material firmly secured. A package of two pieces makes a timely change possible as soon as the edge loses its cut.

The blades are very sharp. Always cut away from the body, secure the workpiece and put used blades into a closed container. Keep out of the reach of children.
