Clear Green 17ml

AK interactive Clear Green 17 ml — a clear acrylic paint

Clear Green is a transparent shade from the 3rd Generation acrylic range from AK interactive. It is a clear, tinting green on a water base in a 17 ml dropper bottle. It is applied with a brush and with an airbrush, thinned with water or acrylic thinner, and can be used over practically any dried finish — it does not react with the base and does not damage it.

What it IS and what it is NOT

It IS a tinting (glazing) green — it colors whatever shows through from below, whether that is clear plastic, glass, metal or a finished coat. It is NOT an opaque green paint. It has no opacity: on a light base it will not hide the base, only tint it greenish. If you want to paint a fuselage, a hull or camouflage, you need an opaque green shade — Clear Green serves for effects, not for a base coat.

Use

• Green position lights and signal elements on aircraft, ships and vehicles.
• Instrument glasses, displays, indicators and small optics.
• Tinting clear parts — light covers, glass, clear plastic, canopies.
• A greenish cast on metal — coloring metal and heat-stressed parts.
• Candy finishes and glazes for shifting the tone of an already painted area.

Application tip

The depth here is governed not by mixing but by the number of coats: apply thin coats and let the paint dry between them — with every further coat the shade darkens, and there is no going back. The proven procedure is to start with the lightest cast and add one coat at a time until the result is right. Lay a glossy silver base under the paint and you get the effect of colored metal — a green gloss with metal depth beneath the surface.

Who the paint is for

For modelers finishing lights, glazing and instrument panels, for builders of cars and motorcycles working with candy finishes, and for anyone who needs to tint clear parts without losing their transparency.

When spraying with an airbrush, ensure sufficient ventilation and protect your airways (a respirator). Keep out of reach of children. Shake the bottle before use.
