A transparent orange from the Real Colors line of the AK Interactive brand, a bottle of 17 ml. The coat stays translucent, so the part underneath does not lose its ability to let light through and is merely tinted. The saturation of the tone increases with every further coat, from a pale amber cast to a strong orange.
The classic place is the covers of turn signals and warning lights, that is parts that are molded clear and get their color only from the modeler. It serves just as well on the orange lenses of instruments, on small translucent elements and over a gloss metal base, where it creates a warm metallic sheen. It also suits places where you only want to warm up a finished paint job slightly without having to spray the whole thing again.
Stir the paint thoroughly before work so that the pigment is evenly dispersed. Apply it thinly and in coats, letting the surface become tacky between them; transparent paints forgive little, and a single heavy coat gives itself away by its streaks. Wash and degrease clear parts first and from then on hold them by the edges. If you want to leave part of the piece clear, mask it before spraying and take the mask off only once the paint has dried. Information on thinning and on cleaning the tools is given by the manufacturer.
For the modeler who paints clear light parts himself and wants shades from a single line. The package contains only the paint, 17 ml of it; the thinner, the primer and the tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
