About product

Mr.Paint Dark Grey — modern Swedish Air Force

A solvent-based lacquer paint in a darker gray tone that complements the modern low-visibility finish of Swedish jet aircraft. It is applied with an airbrush, lays down in very thin coats, covers strongly and dries fast to a smooth surface. It suits the darker component of two-tone gray schemes as well as bringing out individual panels.

Use

  • Applied exclusively with an airbrush in thin coats
  • Thinned with lacquer thinner; do not use water
  • Suitable as the darker tone of modern gray schemes
  • The thin film preserves engraved detail and surface texture
  • Fast drying and firm adhesion on primer

Who the paint is for

The paint will be appreciated by modelers of contemporary Swedish aircraft and by builders who use an airbrush to create the fine shades of modern gray camouflage. The lacquer film is durable, holds firmly and takes subsequent clears, decals and final washes without trouble. Several thin passes give a richer and more even surface than one heavy coat and preserve the crisp edges of a two-tone pattern better.

A flammable liquid containing solvents. Spray in a well-ventilated space or in an extraction booth, use a respirator, keep away from open flame and store out of the reach of children.

FAQ

Lacquer thinner only. Neither water nor acrylic thinner may be used.

Yes, it works as the darker component of modern low-visibility schemes alongside the lighter gray.

It is tuned for the airbrush and a very thin film. With a brush it sets quickly and leaves uneven strokes, so spraying is the way to go.
