A dark olive from the Real Colors line by AK Interactive in a bottle with a volume of 17 ml. Number 41 belongs to the American shade standard of the Second World War period, where this tone served as the basic color of upper surfaces. It is not a pure green: it has a noticeable brown undertone, so depending on the light it comes closer once to green and once to earthy brown.
Most often on the upper surfaces of the fuselage and the wings, where the top finish was olive and the undersides stayed gray. The neutral gray number 43 is its partner for the undersides, and the transition between them can be led sharply or with a soft spray according to the subject you are building. An unmistakable property of this shade is the way it ages: on real machines the surface lost its saturation through fading and wear.
If you want to capture the wear, lighten the middle of the panels with a somewhat lighter tone and leave the edges as they are. Mix the paint properly before work, the pigment settles while standing. Apply it in thin coats so the panel lines stay legible, and wash and degrease the surface beforehand. Apply masks before spraying and take them off only once the paint is dry. The recommended thinner, the thinning ratio and the cleaning of tools are given by the manufacturer; stick to its data.
