Deep Green is a bottled AK interactive acrylic paint of the 3rd Generation range: a dark, rich green for shadows and dark fields of a finish.
Responsibility details are not available.
Deep Green is a bottled acrylic paint thinned with water from the 3rd Generation range. It is a dark, deep green, a tone used as the bottom tier of the green scale rather than as the main color of a model. That is exactly why it works well paired with lighter greens: it gives them somewhere to step back to.
Do not just dab dark green into recesses as a ready-made shadow; it looks harsh. A better approach is to mix two or three intermediate tones between Deep Green and the base green of the model on the palette and lay them on in turn, working outwards from the darkest spot. The transition is then spread over several steps and the eye does not read it as a line. Always mix a little more paint than you need; hitting the same shade a second time almost never comes out exactly. Load the brush and wipe the excess off on the edge of the palette, because with dark tones every extra drop shows. Thin with water or with acrylic thinner and work in thin coats so that the engraved lines stay readable.
For modelers who shade and model volume with paint rather than with weathering alone, and for anyone building their own green scale. It is a bottled acrylic of the 3rd Generation range; the oil paint, the spray and the lacquer range of the same name are not it and they do not thin with one another.
Keep out of the reach of children. Ventilate while spraying and protect your airways. Wash brushes with water right after work.
