An acrylic ink from Green Stuff World from the Dipping Ink line, in a 60 ml package. The word Turquoise in the name places the variant in the turquoise part of the range. A cold turquoise shadow suits blue-green fabrics, metal, ice and fantasy motifs, where the result is meant to be unnaturally cool.

What it is and what it is not

It is not an opaque paint and not a primer. It is a toning ink - it is applied in a rich layer or the model is dipped into it, the surplus is left to drip off and the material runs into the recesses, where it creates a shadow. The base shows through it, so the result is governed by the base color as well.

Use

• Stir the bottle thoroughly before applying, because the pigment settles at the bottom.
• Work on a dry base coat.
• Let the surplus drip off and draw it away with a clean brush, because otherwise patches will stay on the surfaces.
• The ink can be used selectively, only on chosen areas - into folds, into engraved lines, on glass or on jerrycans.
• Once it has dried, highlight the edges and fix the whole model with varnish.
